Soundtrack

We made a list of song which were suitable for our thriller film opening, but in the end we decided on 'Staring at the Sun' by TV on the Radio. We made this choice because it fitted our film perfectly and parts of the song completed the scene very effectively. For example, at the point where the main character starts to walk outside in the dark, the drums come in and match the rhythm of his walking. We thought that this was a typical thriller soundtrack, because it is very repetitive and builds up with the action. However, we did not want too many vocals included, so to overcome this problem we cut part of the beginning and repeated it so that the vocals came in later and they didn't last as long.
